Botanical Beauty

If you live in Dubai or the Middle East in general you’ll have noticed that the water is very soft because of the minerals that are in the water which for a lot of people including myself causes or is still causing hair loss on a daily basis and I’m not talking about a few strands here and there I’m talking about hair all over the place. Every. Girls. Nightmare.

After suffering that for a year and nearly going insane because of how thin my hair became (mind you I have naturally pretty thick hair thanks to the parents) I decided enough was enough.

I looked into the nutrition side of it as well because as they say health starts from the inside. More fruits and veggies in my diet as well as less stress and more yoga/meditation. 
I also started taking a daily Hair, Skin and Nail vitamin coupled with regular castor oil masks ( I mix castor oil with either olive oil or coconut oil, massage it into my scalp and leave it for 4-6 hrs before washing out)  and boy oh boy did I see a wonderful change. Oh I also cut my hair or more like I lobbed half of it off. Anyways, that random Britney moment aside...

I've always been a big fan of beauty products from Australia as they tend to be very pro environment friendly, vegan, and as natural and organic as they can. I'm no vegan but I respect anyone who is and what I can do for the planet I will. I’ve also never been a fan of any animal testing so when a brand clearly states it does not do that...you’re instantly on my good list.

I've recently found GROWN ALCHEMIST here in Dubai at SKN in Mercato Mall and I AM HOOKED. I'm using the DETOX range and my hair has never felt cleaner or more alive.
It's certified organic, not tested on animals, safe and free from toxins and it's vegan friendly.
What more could you possibly want or need in a shampoo & conditioner?

It's natural enough for daily use although I've never washed my hair more than 2 times a week. SKN has a wide range of their products which I would highly recommend checking out. The ladies who work there are very well informed and will help you out to find whats right for your hair type, skin type and needs. I'm now going to go play with my hair because when it's this clean and I haven't worked out yet I just gotta enjoy the moment ;)
